Passive RFID Temperature Tag

RFID temperature tag technology consists of a tag that connects to each wheel on railroad car that enables railroads to read and record the highest of temperatures and determine whether specific parts are defective. RFID tags are made of a material that changes color to reflect these temperatures. Essentially, these tags help railroads to find, identify, and remove from service, components that have been deemed nonfunctional. RFID tags are able to send their information to a server, which aids in keeping an accurate inventory and records for rolling stock. IDT has expanded the capabilities of the reader by integrating wheel sensors, proprietary off-track train presence, fully functional software with T94 file capabilities, unlimited notifications, and stores up to one thousand train records.
